Roscoe L. Williams1929 ~ 2011Roscoe LeRoy Williams passed away quietly at home on Dec. 24, 2011. He was born in Murray, UT on Dec. 18, 1929 to Rea LeRoy and Ada Labrum Williams. Married Elaine Rushton June 9, 1950; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Elaine passed away Feb. 28, 2007.Roscoe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in high standing, where he held various church callings. He was an avid golfer, fisher and hunter. He was a very loving and caring neighbor & friend, and gave to anyone in need. He will be sorely missed.Survived by his sisters, Ann M. VanDerMeer of South Weber, Sharon Dolittle of West Valley City; sister-in-law, Pat Williams of Paradise, UT; numerous nieces & nephews; and his "adopted" children. Preceded in death by 7 brothers & 1 sister.Funeral services will be Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Taylorsville 39th Ward, 4932 S. 3200 W. A viewing will Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, and from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services on Friday. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
