SALT LAKE CITY — Pardon the pop music pun, but tonight there will be a party in the ESA.
The Utah Jazz are hosting a fan festival at EnergySolutions Arena to pump up the pregame atmosphere for the team's 7 p.m. MT home-opener against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The festival will start on the concourse level with face- and hair-painting, balloon artists and free magnet schedules. The entire Jazz management — from owner Gail Miller, CEO Greg Miller, president Randy Rigby, to facility and broadcast vice presidents — will meet and greet fans.
Former Jazz forward Thurl Bailey will then team up with country singer Billy Dean and pianist Marvin Goldstein to perform the national anthem.
Festivities also include pregame fireworks and a halftime act by the Zuma Zuma Acrobats of America's Got Talent fame.
