Robert Dee Jaynes1923 ~ 2011Having lived through the great depression, served as a pilot in World War II, and raised a wonderful family, Robert Dee Jaynes passed away peacefully at his home December 27, 2011 at the age of 88. He became a nuclear reactor operator foreman and later was an electrician for the LDS church. He was an expert genealogist and served in numerous callings in the LDS church including four times as a stake missionary, a calling he truly loved. His greatest joy was his wife of 69 years and their family of ten children. He was born September 19, 1923 in Manti, UT to Orville Sidney Jaynes and Violet Vivian Campbell. He married Violet Fern Jaynes May 15, 1942 in Reno, Nevada and was sealed to her November 9, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. He is survived by Violet and his children Blair (Karren), Gary (Cindy), Sherry Lynn Morrison (Brad), David, Julie Vivanco, Kathleen Nivens (Mike), Jeanette Anderson (Kent), Stephen (Jill), Mark (Elaine), Rosann Clements (Rick), 55 grandchildren, 94 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Orville, his mother Violet Vivian Campbell and all ten of his siblings. Interment will follow the funeral at the Bountiful Lakeview Memorial Cemetery located at 1640 Lakeview Dr., Bountiful, UT.
