Frank Stiggins1927 ~ 2011Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed peacefully in the comfort of his home on Christmas day and was returned to his sweetheart Juanita. He was born on May 13, 1927 in Tampa, Florida to Joseph and Evelyn Stiggins. He was raised by his Uncle Charlie and Aunt Mary in Lakeland, Florida.He attended the University of Florida. It was during that time that he met his wife Juanita who was attending Florida State. They were married May 15, 1949 in Live Oak, Florida. Shortly after they were married Frank enlisted in the Air Force. During his 30 years in the military they lived in Florida, Missouri, Colorado, Holland, Georgia, Hawaii, Thailand and Texas. He retired with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. After 11 years of marriage Frank was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully in many callings throughout the years including: Branch President, Bishoprics, High Priest leaderships and Young Men Presidencies.Frank is fun-loving and liked to tease and play practical jokes. He had a special bond with the youth of the ward. He loved to give out slobber dobbers and one of his favorite sayings was "I love you like a rattlesnake."He loved his family very much. He is preceded in death by Juanita Dyal Stiggins, his wife of over 60 years. He is survived by his Son, Joseph (Kendra Oler) of Cedar Hills, Utah; Son, Charles (Rebecca Allen) of Provo, Utah; Daughter, Melody (Terry) Sellers of Orem, Utah; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at the LDS Chapel at 865 W. 1000 N. in Orem, Saturday, December 31st at 1:00 p.m. A viewing will be held Friday evening December 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State Street in Orem and also Saturday from 12:00-12:45 prior to the services at the LDS chapel. Interment will follow immediately at the Orem City Cemetery.
