I think SkiLink sounds like a great idea. It fits the way we ski the Wasatch resorts.
As a local, I have skied all the local resorts over and over again. The group I ski with knows each resort inside and out. Depending on the weather, time of year and the kind of skiing we choose (powder, bumps, groomers, steep, bowls, fewer crowds or even the food offered), we chose the corresponding resort accordingly.
But, if you want to ski two resorts in the same day, the only choice now is Alta and Snowbird. Both are similar resorts, so the experience is similar. Right now, to ski a Cottonwood Canyon resort and a Park City resort in the same day would mean wasting a lot of time driving from one to the other. But, worse, the cost of two half-day passes would really be prohibitive.
SkiLink sounds like it could solve this problem — less hassle, less wasted time, more skiing and a two resort experience in a single day. I'm not sure why any skier would be against this win-win.
