COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — Police are asking for help to find a 74-year-old man who went missing Monday night.
When Donald Lee Adamson uncharacteristically left his home Feb. 14, he was not dressed for inclement weather, said Sgt. Mark Askerlund of the Cottonwood Heights Police Department.
Askerlund said the man told his daughter "I'm just going to walk away from it all" a day or two prior to leaving.
The police seek public help in the search because of the duration of the man's absence and because they've exhausted their resources looking for leads, Askerlund said.
"We're small in number compared to the public," Askerlund said. "We just figure many eyes out there looking for him are better than a few eyes."
Adamson is described as a five-foot-one-inch 140-pound balding grey haired white man with large brown-rimmed glasses.
Anyone with information that might help locate Adamson can call Cottonwood Heights Dispatch at 801-840-4000.
