The Utah High School Hockey state championship finals take place this week at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex on Guardsman Way. Elite Eight (affiliated) and Frozen Four (independent) play begins Tuesday and continues daily though Saturday. The affiliated state championship game is set for Monday at 7:30 p.m. If necessary, the finalists will meet again Tuesday at the same time.

The winner will represent Utah at the USA Hockey National Championships next month in Chicago. Salt Lake City has been chosen to host the tournament in 2012.

Admission is $2.

The Elite Eight consists of Bingham, Davis, Judge Memorial, Murray, Skyline, Sky View, Timpanogos and Viewmont.

The Frozen Four field includes Davis County Independent, Salt Lake Independent, Utah County South Independent and Weber County Independent.
