FILE - In this Dec. 2, 2010 file photo, Kansas guard Tyrel Reed (14) shoots over UCLA guard Tyler Lamb (1) during the first half of an NCAA college basketball game in Lawrence, Kan. Reed’s favorite memory of four years as a Kansas basketball player was probably winning the national championship. But there are so many special moments that come flooding back as the native Kansan prepares to run onto the Allen Fieldhouse floor for the very last time.

LAWRENCE, Kan. — No. 2 Kansas has a chance to clinch at least a tie for its seventh consecutive Big 12 regular-season title this week.

Beating No. 24 Texas A&M on Wednesday night would mean something else special for senior guard Tyrel Reed of Burlington, Kan. He could say he and his teammates won the league every year he played.

Kansas goes into the game with a 12-2 conference record. After meeting the Aggies, the Jayhawks will close the regular season on Saturday at No. 22 Missouri.
