Craig Keith Paskett 1959 ~ 2011
Craig Keith Paskett, our beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away March 6, 2011 after a valiant five year battle with cancer. Craig was born Nov. 18, 1959 to John Keith Paskett and Joy Ann Molner in Ogden, Utah. During his life, Craig endured many health problems including bladder bypass surgery, kidney failure, dialysis, a kidney transplant and finally cancer. Craig graduated from Roy High School and Weber State College. He married his long-looked-for soul-mate, Malayna Isaac, in the Ogden Temple on Oct. 6, 1994. They have been blessed with three wonderful dearly loved children who will greatly miss their father. Craig was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in Hamburg, Germany and for medical reasons finished his mission in San Diego, CA. Craig loved the gospel and especially loved working in the nursery and with primary children. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joy Molner Paskett, a step-sister Laura Wamsley, and a step-brother James Colvin. Surviving are his wife, Malayna; children: Rachael, Aleks, and Caleb; his father John and stepmother Betty Jo (BJ) Paskett; brothers Glen (Stacy), Darrin (Wendy), Shane (Janae); sister Cindy (Rob) Dabling, and step-brother Trent Colvin. Craig will be remembered for his courage and ability to overcome adversity. He never allowed his health to stand in the way of enjoying his family to the fullest; they have always been his most important consideration. The family would like to give special thanks to the University of Utah Kidney Transplant Clinic, the wonderful and compassionate doctors and nurses at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital, and the helpful and caring nurses and staff from Community Nursing Services Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Huntsman Cancer Institute or the National Kidney Foundation, in Craig's name. Craig's desire was to return to the earth; therefore he has chosen a green burial. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Lakeview Memorial Park Green Burial Garden, 1640 East Lakeview Drive (1100 So), Bountiful, Utah.
