SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah business pioneer was honored Monday for making significant contributions to economic development in Utah for more than 20 years. Fred Adams, founder of the Utah Shakespearean Festival, was presented with the Economic Visionary Award Monday at the Governor's Utah Economic Summit.

The annual Cedar City event generates approximately $90 million in revenue for the state each year and will celebrate its 50th anniversary this summer.
