TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama and UAB will both be playing for far more Saturday than just a triumphant send-off for their seniors.
Both teams will host regular season finales in games that could have conference title implications. The Blazers and Crimson Tide also are trying to end NCAA tournament droughts.
The Tide hosts Georgia aiming to halt a two-game losing streak. Alabama can claim a share of the SEC championship with a win paired with a Florida loss at Vanderbilt.
UAB enters Saturday night's game with Jeff Lebo's East Carolina team having already locked up a share of the Conference USA title with Wednesday night's 67-66 win at Southern Miss. With a victory, the Blazers would claim their first outright title since winning the Sun Belt during the 1989-90 season.
