BLACKFOOT, Idaho — A juvenile accused of taking part in a hazing case with classmates at the high school in Blackfoot has been cleared of two misdemeanor battery charges.

Magistrate Judge Charles Roos ruled Feb. 24 there wasn't enough evidence to advance to trial over the minor's involvement in locker room bullying during the 2009-10 school year.

Even though Roos says he's certain hazing style assaults occurred, he also ruled that the witnesses failed to provide proof the juvenile defendant had actually touched them during the encounters.

Four adults have also been charged in the case. Each originally faced felony charges, but prosecutors have since charged them with misdemeanors.
