BASEBALL: The Salt Lake Community College Baseball baseball team extended its winning streak to 14 games with a doubleheader sweep over Southern Nevada, 2-0 and 9-2.

SLCC improves to 15-1 overall and 2-0 in SWAC play.

In the first game, SLCC broke up a Southern Nevada no-hitter in the sixth inning with three consecutive hits to drive two runs across the plate. Kyle Bilbrey drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly, followed by an RBI single from Braden Anderson. Adam Dunn threw a complete-game shutout, allowing five hits with six strikeouts..

In the second game, it was seven extra base hits that led Salt Lake to a 9-2 win. Bilbrey (2-for-5 with two doubles), Anderson (2-for-5 with two doubles) and Kinkade (2-for-4 with two doubles) each had two doubles in the game, and Dom Taylor blasted a solo home run. Tyson Popoff drove in three runs, going 2-for-2 in the game. Tyson Memmott got the start, going four innings allowing two hits before giving way to Rudy Acosta. Acosta threw five scoreless innings, allowing one hit.
