Alvin, age 80, passed away at his home on March 2, 2011. He was born May 7, 1930 in Duncan, OK, to Loy and Arrnie Long. He served in the US Army for six years where he was proud to serve his country. He was happily married for 50 years to Ursula; they resided in SLC, UT. After her passing, he later married Kathleen. He is survived by his three brothers, Melvin, Marvin, and Marion. Others that Alvin held with highest regards were Mary (Dennie) Snyder, and their children Trista and Drake; and Sonya Schweiger of Germany. He was a tool machinist by trade who had a love for life, the outdoors and all of his many friends. Services will be held in his home town in Texas. He will be missed.
