Edwin "Kent" Bone, after a long and lingering battle with cancer, found peace March 7, 2011 by returning home to the loving embrace of his Heavenly Father.Kent was born January 24, 1939 to Wm. "Bill" and Beth Park (Chidester) Bone. With a charismatic personality and a winning smile, he married his high school sweetheart, Gladys Mae Romney on October 9, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. With love in his heart they welcomed 11 children into their home: Steven (Patty), Jeffery (LeAn), Paulee (Bill), Angela, Treena (Sione Hama), Cindee (Mike), Kim (Kerry), Sallee, Dan (Amber), Jamee (Nathon) and Caitlin. Like his father before him, Kent's greatest passion in life was fishing and he found pleasure involving his family in various recreational activities. His favorite hobby was photography and he found enjoyment in doing projects around the house. He served the community for over 45 years at Jensen 66 Service and, for the past five years, at McDougal Funeral Home. A stalwart in the LDS Church he served in many positions including Bishop and High Councilor. He enjoyed time spent on a service mission at the LDS Conference Center and in the baptistry in the Jordan River Temple. Survived by his wife; children; 32 grandchildren; two great-grand-children; sisters: Kathy and Claudia; brothers: Mont, Rick and Kelly. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 6100 So. Kamas Dr. (2480 W). Viewings will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Sat. at church, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.
