Myron A Madsen, 91, passed away April 8, 2011 in Richfield. He was born May 15, 1919 in Boneta, Utah to Alphonzo Barton and Emily Manila Erickson Madsen. He married Ruth Case August 6, 1939 in Boneta. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple March 29, 1951. They have been married 71 years. Survived by wife, Ruth of Monroe; children: Elaine (DeVon) Nelson, Fremont; Floyd Alphonzo (Sue) Madsen, Salem; Myrna (Everitt) Thomson, Nephi; Maxine (Bardett) Durfee, Monroe; Tamra (Kenneth) Madsen, Payson; 20 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Melva Allred, Altamont; Ralph (Carolyn) Madsen, Duchesne; Judy Frandsen, Talmage. Preceded in death by parents; grandsons, David Durfee and Curt Madsen. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Monroe 1st Ward, 50 East 200 North. Friends may call at the church in Monroe Thursday from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery with military rites by the Monroe American Legion Post #37.
