The Glenn Beck media empire is launching a new book imprint, Mercury Ink, and its first project is a work of fiction by Richard Paul Evans that targets young adults.
Slate.com reports, "(Beck) has signed a new deal with publisher Simon & Schuster that includes plans … for his production company, Mercury Radio Arts, to launch a new book imprint, the publisher announced Wednesday. … Its first release will be a young adult novel, 'Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25,' by Richard Paul Evans."
The "Michael Vey" tome won't hit bookstore shelves until Aug. 9, but it's already available to pre-order on Amazon.com. The book's description from Amazon: "To everyone at Meridian High School, Michael Vey is an ordinary 14-year-old. In fact, the only thing that seems to set him apart is the fact that he has Tourette's syndrome. But Michael is anything but ordinary. Michael has special powers. Electric powers."
