SALT LAKE CITY — Beginning this month, downtown Salt Lake City will host the Urban Flea Market.
The market will be held one Sunday during every month through October 2011. Selected dates for the event are July 31, Aug. 14, Sept. 11 and Oct. 9.
The Urban Flea Market will be located at Washington Square near the Salt Lake City-County Building on the southeast corner of 500 South and 200 East. It will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the designated dates. Admission for visitors is free, and the event is open to the public.
Besides vendors selling inexpensive, secondhand and locally made items, the market will also host a children’s arts and crafts area as well as family friendly music. Each Sunday flea market will also feature a local animal rescue where groups can showcase animals that are available for adoption.
