TAYLORSVILLE — A toddler was flown to the hospital in critical condition Wednesday after falling out of a second story window.

The 3-year-old boy fell from his home at 3990 W. Zodiac Drive (6020 South) around 5 p.m., Unified Fire Authority spokesman Ben Sharer said. The boy landed on concrete and sustained a large bump to his head.

"He was not acting appropriately," Sharer said.

Officials responded within minutes and the boy was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center in critical, but stable condition.

He was conscious at the time. Additional details as to how the boy fell from the window were being investigated, Sharer said.
