Rosella Mills "One Classy Lady"
Our beloved Aunt Rosie passed away peacefully July 14, 2011 at her home. Rosie was born November 24, 1917 to Peter and Marta Savage in Murray, Utah. She was the eighth of nine children. In 1950 she married the love of her life, Kay Mills, and moved to Billings, Montana, and purchased Hester Studio. Rosie was a prominent photographer. She was gratified that Kay shared her passion as they worked together. After Kay's passing, she left her friends in Montana and moved back to Utah to be closer to family. Though she always made sure she looked her best, family came first. Rosie led a life of helping others-not only by her cooking and charismatic personality, but her kind heart. Rosie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagles and VFW, as well as the Daughter of the Nile. She loved to dance, travel, and was an avid Jazz fan. Survived by her nieces; nephews; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-son, K.G.; and sister-in-law, Florence Savage. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; step-son, Carl; all her siblings; and Inky-Lou. Special thanks to her niece, Sharon; granddaughters, Christy and Jenica; friend, Evelyn; and Sun Brook Hospice for the care given to Rosie. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street. A viewing will be held at the mortuary Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery. Online condolences: www.jenkins-soffe.com
