Mary Gene Hill Davis My Darling/Our Angel Mother 1927 ~ 2011
Hand in Hand my Darling Sweetheart gently left my side onWednesday, July 13, 2011. Our marriage of sixty wonderful years is the foundation of our eternal union. Affectionately called "Snooks" by her Dad, Mary Gene was born June 20, 1927 to Ruland O. and Mary Stones Hill. She was the only girl and the oldest of six children, Boyd (Susan) Hill, Sherron (Afton) Hill, Ron (Colleen) Hill, Lee, deceased (Kathleen) Hill, and Bob Hill, deceased. I married my sweetheart on April 5, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple, after she honorably returned from the Southern States Mission, where we both served and met. She is survived by her eternal companion, D. Heyward Davis, Jr. and their five beloved children, Steven and Wendy Davis, Kristine and Greg Yorgason, Duane and Tamara Davis, Mary K. and David Larson and Jeanne and Gary David Green, also 43 Precious grandchildren and 38 loving great grandchildren. Their Angel Mother and Grandmother leaves behind a legacy of Undeniable knowledge and faith of our Savior Jesus Christ which she instilled deep within our family! Together we served in the Salt Lake Visitor Center, the Laie, Hawaiian Visitor Center, and presided over the Wisconsin, Milwaukee Mission. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 18, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at the Willow Creek 1st Ward Chapel at 2115 E. Sublette Place (8435 S.) Sandy, Ut. Viewing 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. prior to funeral.
