Ralph John Kuhni, age 92, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 14, 1919 in Heber City, Utah to John Hans Kuhni and Nettie Winterton Kuhni. He spent his early childhood years in the Heber Valley and later moved to Provo. He was the oldest of eight children. He married his sweetheart, Gloria Christensen, on June 4, 1944, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four children. He had a great business mind and was hard-working and enterprising. He was the President and General Manager of John Kuhni Sons, a successful wholesale feed manufacturing and trucking company, until his retirement in 1986. Throughout his life he served in many callings for the church and was known for his honesty, integrity and sincere love for others. He lived a long, productive life full of rich blessings and love for his family. He had a deep and abiding faith and testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; children, Claudia Williams, Rosemary Frederico (Russell), Candace Powers, and Hans Kuhni (Deanne); brothers, Melvin Kuhni and Arlin Kuhni, sister Carol Huntington; thirteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Theron and Glade, sisters Marie and Elaine, son-in-law, Larry Williams and grandson Ryan Charles Williams. Our family would like to express their deepest love and appreciation to Claudia for her loving care, selfless dedication and tireless efforts in our father's behalf during his last years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Pleasant View 2nd Ward Chapel, 650 East Stadium Avenue, Provo. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and at the church Tuesday morning one hour prior to services. Interment, Provo City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Perpetual Education Fund.
