Neal Gene Bodell, our preciousfather, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and dear friend passed away at Stanley Basin, Idaho on July 11, 2011 at the age of 58. He was born on June 4, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Merlin Samuel Bodell and Marjorie Erickson Bodell. After graduating from Brighton High School in 1971, he joined the Navy and served honorably for the country he loved so much. Neal was a unique, generous man of humor and great devotion to his family and friends. He lived life to the fullest and was always open to trying new things. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his daughter, Margie and grand-daughter, "Andie". They were the joy of his life. Neal enjoyed writing stories and poetry, and making people laugh. He had a great sense of adventure and loved the outdoors and everything nature had to offer, not finding much value in material things. Neal was a generous and sensitive man who felt and loved deeply, but the things he will probably most be remembered for were his unconditional love and acceptance of everyone, and the fact that he would have given anything to anyone anytime they wanted it. He has touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Neal was preceded in death by his mother (Marjorie), both sets of grandparents (Sam and Lydia Bodell and Darrell and Lucille Erickson) and a nephew (Stuart Bodell). He is survived by his daughter Marjorie Bodell, father Merlin (Chris) Bodell, brothers, Wade (Pam) Bodell, Lane (Michelle) Bodell and sister Peggy (Brian) Templin and granddaughter Andromeda Bodell along with many nieces and nephews. Services pending.
