SALT LAKE CITY — A Florida company is bringing some employment sunshine to the Beehive State. CustomerContactChannels, a provider of customer management solutions, announced plans to expand its customer contact center here and add more than 600 new jobs.
Salt Lake site director Pete Petela said many of the new positions would focus on serving the needs of one of the company's large health care clients.
"We have a number of training positions, supervisors, operations managers and quality assurance," he said. Selected candidates will have six weeks of paid training and certification prior to officially beginning their duties, he mentioned.
C3 opened its Salt Lake facility in August 2010 with a capacity for 500 employees. With the expansion, the company will have nearly 1,000 people in Utah handling customer relations for its client base.
"We're excited to strengthen our partnership with the Salt Lake City region and do our small part to create employment at a time when new jobs in this country are scarce," said Rick Ferry, president and chief operating officer.
C3 manages facilities and provides services around the world, including in Asia, Europe and the Americas. The company provides a full range of customer contact management services for corporate clients in the health care, financial services, telecommunications, energy and utilities, media, travel, hospitality, and government services industries.
The expansion plan includes filling new positions and taking over an additional two floors in the existing 40,000-square-foot building located at 5215 W. Wiley Post Way. C3 will immediately begin hiring for management positions and customer service representatives. The company will hold an onsite job fair for the new positions today and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
