SALT LAKE CITY — Three people from Colorado were charged Wednesday with bringing a 14-year-old girl across state lines for prostitution.

Roscoe R. Gallman, 28, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Sasha Tarra Montiel, 24, of Lakewood, Colo.; and Abelina Mary Roybal, 20, of Denver, were each charged with aggravated exploitation of prostitution, a first-degree felony, in 3rd District Court.

An undercover police officer contacted Roybal through an ad she had allegedly placed on a free classified ads website. Officers arranged a meeting at Americas Best Inn and Suites, 1099 S. Main in Salt Lake City, and Roybal allegedly agreed to perform a sex act for $200, the charges state.

The girl told police that Roybal posted escort ads for her, and that both Roybal and Montiel knew that she was prostituting herself, according to charges.

Officers also found a Glock 19 handgun in the vehicle with Gallman, Montiel and the teen girl. Gallman, who officials say is on felony probation in Colorado for menacing with a weapon, was also charged with possession of a firearm by a restricted person, a third-degree felony. Roybal was also charged with prostitution, a class B misdemeanor. Montiel and Roybal were also charged with not having a sexually-oriented business license while placing ads for escort services.
