Orin William Talbot 1919 ~ 2011 LAYTON Orin William Talbot, 91, husband of Barbara Loveland Hunt, died July 16, 2011 at the North Canyon Care Center, Bountiful. Orin was born at home Sept. 18, 1919 to Annie Manning and Henry W. Talbot. He lived in Layton his entire life, graduating from Davis High School and working hard on the family farm. Orin married the love of his life, Edith Rowley, August 19, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for nearly 45 years and had seven children. Edith died August 11, 1985. Orin served in the Army during World War II. Upon returning, he continued farming and worked for 34 years at Hill AFB. He also worked many years as a custodian for the LDS church. Orin was a High Priest in the LDS Church. He served in various callings including counselor in the High Priest group. He also served in the Ogden Temple Baptistry for 25 years. Orin married Barbara, Dec. 27, 1990 in the Ogden Temple. He was preceded in death by six siblings. He is survived by his children LeRoy Talbot, Kathleen Poorte, JoAnn Talbot, Doyle (Barbara) Talbot, Jay Talbot, Kay Stone (Rex), Brent Talbot; his step-children Mikole Concidine (David), Michaelene Ahidley; 28 grand-children, 38 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Fri., July 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit family Thurs., July 21, from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary and Fri. from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to services.
