Lynnwood Christensen "Beloved Husband & Father"

Lynnwood Marlin Christensen, age 90, passed away on July 16, 2011. He was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.He was born May 16, 1921 to Hans Christian Moller Christensen and Annie Naomi Butterworth. He served in the Air Force during World War II and upon his return, graduated from the U of U in accounting. In 1949 he married Margaret Elaine Stucki. An active member of the LDS church, he served many years as the organist for stake and regional conferences. Preceding him in death were his son, Scott; his parents; his brother, Leland, and his sisters: Dorothy, Jenny and Marty. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and children: Mark (Lorraine) Christensen, Alan (Beth) Christensen, Ann (Brent) Hackett, Elaine (Jaime) Steren, David (Janet) Christensen, and Susan (Kelly) Spencer. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Garden Heights Ward, 2220 E. Fisher Lane (2935 S.), at 1:00 p.m. Friends and family can visit at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E., Thursday 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Scott Christensen endowment at BYU Idaho.
