Edna Rasmussen Call Garner passed away Sunday evening July 17, 2011 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. Edna was born to Inez Harrison Rasmussen and Willard Rasmussen on November 20, 1930 in Naples, Utah. She was married to Duane D. Call in the Salt Lake Temple on December 15, 1950, later divorced. She met the love of her life, Vernon Garner and they married on January 17, 2011 in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. Edna is survived by her husband, Vernon Garner, her brother Earl Rasmussen, children Duane D. Call (Arlene), Roxanne Kelly (Dan), Michael M. Call (Colynne), A. Alwyn Call (Shelly), Daniel C. Call (Leesa), Joseph R. Call (Michell), Becky Merkley (Roger), Angeline Jacobsen (Jarle). She leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, step-children, and many friends. Edna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in leadership and teaching capacities in various auxiliaries. She served two missions in her later years for the LDS church in Pennsylvania and The Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday, July 22, 2011 from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. at the LDS Chapel 1883 S West Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. The funeral services will follow at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at Vernal Memorial Park in Vernal, Utah at 3:00 p.m. Friends and relatives from the Vernal area may pay their respects at this time.
