Lew W. Shew of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away July 19, 2011 of natural causes. He was born February 2, 1922, son of Tong Ping and Lum Shee Shew. Lew served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a businessman and restauranteur. He loved the game of golf and was a life-long member of Alpine Country Club. One of his proudest accomplishments was two holes-in-one in one round at Oakridge Country Club. He married Helen Yim. They had two sons Ronald (Marcia) and Richard (Lorraine). Later married Lucille Malmstrom. Lew is survived by his wife; sons; step-children, Rick (Pat) Malmstrom, and Sharon Pearce; four siblings; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his step-daughter, Linda Stroh and five siblings. Funeral services will held Friday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. Bengal Blvd (7800 South) with a viewing for family and friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to services. Online condolences can be shared at www.memorialutah.com.
