SALT LAKE CITY — The Independent Salt Lake County Redistricting Commission is hosting an open house July 28 for the public to review proposals.
The open house will follow the County Commission's regular meeting and will be held in the North Building Atrium of the County Government Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Commission chairwoman Janice Auger Rasmussen says officials want the public to be part of the process. Residents are invited to review the maps, ask questions and vote on their preferred proposal.
The commission has developed three distinct proposals for county council districts.
The commission is also charged with proposing new school board member district boundaries for the Jordan, Granite and Canyons school districts.
