Lili was a full partner with Hip in offering hospitality and support to Hip's medical students and cardiology fellows from the University of Utah School of Medicine. When her children competed for the Cyprus Pirates Swim Club, Lili provided countless hours of service to the team, including legendary lunches, and was a favorite of the swimmers and their families. Lili was an outstanding cook. Her specialties included chow mein and Chinese chicken salad. Governor Matheson loved her potato salad. An avid reader, Lili also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, shopping for shoes, knitting and baking pies with Hip, following figure skating, and watching Larry Bird and Magic Johnson play basketball.
