AUBURN, Ala. — The Auburn Tigers remain in search of an offensive identity.
That quest will likely start with a renewed emphasis on the running game and play-action passing in Saturday's road game against Mississippi.
The Tigers rank 117th nationally in scoring offense and last in tackles for loss allowed and remain unsettled at quarterback. Clint Moseley replaced Kiehl Frazier in the second half against Arkansas.
Rebels coach Hugh Freeze says he's not sure what Auburn's offensive identity might be at the moment.
Auburn coach Gene Chizik says he has taken more of a hand in working with the offense this week. He says there won't be wholesale changes but the running game will be emphasized more.
Chizik says the Tigers might have been trying to do too much.
