Roundup of Week 9 football games across the state this past Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

REGION 1

SYRACUSE 31, WEBER 7: Brock Anderson kicked four PATs, one field goal, and threw touchdown passes to Diante Mitchell, Kiwa Mo'o and Jacob Garver all in the first half as Syracuse easily rolled past Weber to complete the Region 1 campaign with a perfect 5-0 record.

NORTHRIDGE 22, DAVIS 20: The Knights' Nate Kusuda completed 14-of-29 passes for 170 yards and the opening touchdown to lead Northridge in the narrow region victory. For Davis in the loss, Gage Cook was 16-for-26 for 225 yards and three touchdowns, while on defense the Darts' Dayne Lahae had 15 tackles, and one forced fumble, and Eliyah Mayberry had 19 tackles, two of which were sacks, and one forced fumble.

FREMONT 20, LAYTON 0: Fremont led the way scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter. Karson Garcia had two rushes for 74 total yards and Blake Gardner also had a big game with 15 rushes totaling 50 yards.

REGION 2

KEARNS 24, VIEWMONT 16: James Felila dominated the game with 211 yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries to lead Kearns on the road. Jordan Floyd had 98 yards and one score through the air. For Viewmont in the loss, Brandon Wardell totaled 109 yards on 19 carries for his third consecutive outing with 100-plus yards.

HUNTER 38, TAYLORSVILLE 13: Hunter held the lead throughout the game behind the efforts of Izaiha Paonga-Lei, who rushed for 81 yards and three touchdowns, and Kaleo Laita, who started the game off with an impressive 103-yard interception return.

GRANGER 56, WEST 35: James Elkins was the player of the game, recording 169 yards and an astounding six touchdowns on 15 carries for the Lancers. Tani Lehauli added 29 carries with 307 yards and two touchdowns to the Granger effort.

REGION 3

JORDAN 42, BRIGHTON 14: Austin Kafentzis lifted Jordan to the lopsided victory on 23 carries for 203 yards and three rushing touchdowns. The Beetdiggers blew the game open with a 20-point third quarter, and would go on to score 42 straight points after trailing 14-0 in the second quarter. The three third-quarter scores were tallied in just over a period of three minutes.

ALTA 42, WEST JORDAN 0: Alta pulled off the shutout against the visiting Jaguars. Ammon Barker snatched a 65-yard touchdown from Chipper Lucero, who threw for three other scores in the game.

COTTONWOOD 41, COPPER HILLS 14: The Colts dominted the game taking a 21-0 lead heading into halftime. Copper Hills did gain momentum in the third quarter scoring two touchdowns, one of which was a 90-kick return by Tyler Smith.

REGION 4

PLEASANT GROVE 28, AMERICAN FORK 21: Pleasant Grove scored with 4:45 left in the fourth quarter to beat its crosstown rivals on the road.

LONE PEAK 17, RIVERTON 13: Lone Peak extended its one point lead when Michael Smith connected on an incredible 58-yard field goal. From that point forward, the Knights were able to pin their ears back and shutout Riverton in the fourth quarter. In the loss, Brayden Mahoney lit off an 86-yard touchdown run.

BINGHAM 49, LEHI 0: In the last two region games Bingham has won by a combined score of 82-0. The Miners shot out of the gates early, scoring 35 first half points before putting on cruise control for the remaining two quarters. Hayden Weichers had an outstanding game, scoring on a four-yard touchdown run and on a 40-yard pick-six.

REGION 5

SKY VIEW 37, BONNEVILLE 7: Sky View jumped out to a 23-0 halftime lead and coasted the rest of the way to clinch the final playoff berth from Region 5. Braxton Godderidge led the way for Sky View with a pair of passing touchdowns and a rushing score.

LOGAN 28, BOX ELDER 10: Luke Falk had a great night in the road victory, throwing 36-for-70 with 298 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Logan senior also had a two-yard reception for a touchdown to cap a stellar region victory. Jesse Braddy had 11 receptions for 101 yards and a TD for the Grizzlies.

MOUNTAIN CREST 38, ROY 6: Eddy Hall rushed 11 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns, while Faimafili Laulu-Pututau had three receptions for 88 yards and two TD's for the Mustangs. Quarterback Jamison Webb finished the night 4-for-8 with 108 yards and a pair of passing scores, as Mountain Crest improved to 5-0 in region play.

REGION 6

WOODS CROSS 14, BOUNTIFUL 0: Sean Barton led the Wildcats' rushing attack, running the ball 29 times for 160 yards and both Woods Cross touchdowns. With the victory, Woods Cross ended a 23-year losing streak to Bountiful and moved into a three-way tie for second place in Region 6 along with Bountiful and Highland.

CYPRUS 31, CLEARFIELD 6: A.J. Semeatu ran the ball 11 times for 94 yards, finishing the game with four touchdowns to lead Cyprus past Clearfield in region play. Semeatu also caught the only completed pass of the night for 20 yards a reception that sparked the Pirates offense. Defensively, Jordan Quinn recorded six solo tackles for Cyprus.

EAST 34, HIGHLAND 13: East easily took care of rival Highland as quarterback Isaac Valles carried the ball 23 times for 139 yards with a touchdown. Ula Tulutau rushed 17 times for 113 yards with a score, and East clinched the Region 6 title with the victory.

REGION 7

OLYMPUS 27, SKYLINE 9: Jake Jones led the Olympus rushing attack with 113 yards on 22 carries, and Olympus claimed the Battle-of-the-Rock for a fourth consecutive season. Corbin Anderson finished the game 7-for-11 with two passing scores on 69 yards. Anderson also ran for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Olympus, Skyline and Herriman all finished in a first-place tie in Region 7.

HILLCREST 25, MURRAY 13: The Huskies jumped out to a 12-0 lead on rival Murray and then held on for its first region victory of the season. Hillcrest quarterback Tanner Thompson tossed a pair of touchdowns to Keaton Dallimore.

HERRIMAN 55, WESTLAKE 7: The Herriman Mustangs scored an impressive 45 points in the first half to down Westlake in the Region 7 matchup.

REGION 8

SALEM HILLS 10, MOUNTAIN VIEW 3: In a defensive laden game special teams accounted for every point. Tyson Bowden blocked a punt for the lone touchdown as Salem Hills defense held Mountain View to 128 total yards.

TIMPANOGOS 37, PROVO 12: Timpanogos couldn't have asked for a better first half, scoring 30 points to take an 18-point advantage into the locker rooms to put the game far out of reach.

OREM 39, MAPLE MOUNTAIN 19: Behind quarterback Taylor Camp, who was 19-for-27 for 295 yards and three touchdowns, Orem pulled off the upset at home over previously one-loss Maple Mountain. Tigers' Tyler Valdez finished with 84 yards on four catches and touchdown scores of 25 and 18 yards, respectively.

TIMPVIEW 48, SPRINGVILLE 20: Timpview was tested early, trailing 14-13 after the first quarter. But then the spark-plug lit and the T-Birds ticked off 35-unanswered points for their eight straight win.

REGION 9

SNOW CANYON 28, DIXIE 21: Mitch Phillips carried the ball 37 times for 340 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning score with 8:31 remaining in the contest. For Dixie in the loss, Blake Barney had 232 yards and one score through the air as well as 59 yards and one score on the the ground.

DESERT HILLS 46, HURRICANE 38: The Thunder used triple overtime to upset undefeated Hurricane, breaking the Tigers' 20-game win streak. Hurricane's last loss was in the 2010 3A championship game.

CEDAR 42, CANYON VIEW 8: The Redmen earned their first win of the season, and did it in decided fashion by trouncing cross-town rival Canyon View.

REGION 10

JUAN DIEGO 58, PARK CITY 0: Cole Nelson accounted for two Juan Diego touchdowns on 101 yards rushing, Chase Williams contributed two touchdowns with 125 yards rushing, Dakota Cox scored three times, and Jessie Springer totaled 127 rushing yards to keep the Soaring Eagle perfect in the one-sided home victory.

JUDGE MEMORIAL 27, UINTAH 17: The Bulldogs used a 14-point second half to capture the win and post a 5-4 overall record.

WASATCH 42, UNION 7: James Delacenserie passed for four touchdowns and rushed for another two-yard score to lead the Wasps to a dominated road victory.

REGION 11

TOOELE 45, BEN LOMOND 7: Tooele got its first win of the season by dominated the visiting Scots, recording a 35-0 lead by the end of the first half. Kyle Fletcher and Zach Coffman each accounted for two scores for the Buffaloes.

MORGAN 52, OGDEN 21: The Trojans amassed 28 points in the first quarter, and then cruised to the road victory over Region 11 foe Ogden.

STANSBURY 14, GRANTSVILLE 13: Jackson Clausing blocked a Grantsville PAT that became the difference in the game as the Stallions earned the narrow road victory. Clausing also had 13 tackles and a fumble recovery. Chase Christiansen led the Stansbury offense with 110 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

REGION 12

DELTA 43, JUAB 16: Kale Leavitt had three interceptions, one for a 20-yard touchdown, and rushed for another three scores to lift Delta over visiting Juab. Leavitt finished with 20 carries for 170 yards, and also took a two-point conversion to the house.

PAYSON 34, CARBON 8: The Lions jumped on Carbon early with a dominant 21-point first quarter, and then cruised the rest of the way for the Region 12 victory.

SPANISH FORK 28, NORTH SANPETE 6: Spanish Fork found the end zone early on a 9-yard touchdown pass from Jason Money to Colton Olsen and a 5-yard run by Money. With the two-touchdown cushion, the Dons played to their strength on defense and didn't allow a point until the final seconds. The win guarantees a share of the Region 12 title.

2A NORTH

SOUTH SUMMIT 69, GUNNISON 7: Keyton Gines rushed for two touchdowns and five other Wildcats added rushing scores to lead South Summit to the victory over Gunnison and a first-round playoff bye. Colby Averett led the way for South Summit with 107 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 30, NORTH SEVIER 8: American Leadership reeled off 30-unanswered points after surrendering an early score in the first quarter for its second win of the season.

MANTI 24, MILLARD 14: Austin Jackson scored a rushing touchdown and returned a fumble 50 yards for another score as Manti built a 21-0 halftime lead and then hung to edge Millard to claim the 2A North region title. Millard cut Manti's lead to 21-14 after the third quarter, but Carlo Garcia added a field goal in the fourth quarter to ice the victory.

EMERY 36, NORTH SUMMIT 20: Tanner Lake led Emery with a pair of rushing touchdowns as the Spartans compiled 354 yards rushing. North Summit managed 199 yards of total offense, but were completely shutout in the second half of the region battle. Two turnovers in second half doomed the Braves on their home turf.

2A SOUTH

RICHFIELD 35, SOUTH SEVIER 20: Ryley Cunningham registered a pair of touchdowns, and Richfield blew open the game in the fourth quarter with 21-points to pull away with the rivalry win. Alani Pututau had a pair of rushing scores in the South Sevier loss.

BEAVER 41, GRAND 13: The Beavers use a big, 21-point second quarter to pull away from Grand. The Beaver victory creates a three-way tie for the second, third, and fourth seeds in 2A South play -- which will be settled with a coin flip.

SAN JUAN 48, ENTERPRISE 0: Barkley Christensen passed for two scores and rushed for another to lead San Juan to the easy victory over visiting Enterprise. Ammon Mitchell and Logan Meyer hauled in the first-half TD receptions from Christensen.

KANAB 43, PAROWAN 13: Taylor Glover and Merrill Terry each scored a pair of touchdowns to lead Kanab to the easy victory over Parowan in the regular season finale for both teams.

1A NORTH

SUMMIT ACADEMY 28, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 0: The Bears scored 14 points in both the second and fourth quarters to dominate LCA. Brodi Strong accounted for a 60-yard rushing score and a two-point conversion to lead Summit Academy.

PINE VIEW 38, BEAR RIVER 21: The Panthers totaled 520 yards of offense and scored in every quarter to earn the double-digit victory.

ALTAMONT 50, MONUMENT VALLEY 6: Kyle Foy led the Longhorns with 108 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries, Slaton Thompson added one score, a two-point conversion, and 57 yards on eight carries, Rylee Foy had seven tackles, and Cassidy Smith had a number of key blocks in the dominant Altamont victory.

DUCHESNE 21, MONTICELLO 6: The No. 1 Eagles scored all three touchdowns in the opening half, and then held on for the win to maintain their perfect 8-0 record.

DIAMOND RANCH 34, RICH 20: Diamond Ranch held off Rich for the impressive nonregion victory in 1A to improve to 6-3 on the season.
