Whatever coach Brian Johnson wants to do, I'm going to go with. – Utah RB John White

PASADENA, Calif. — After Saturday's 21-14 loss to UCLA at the Rose Bowl, Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said that the Utes may need to get back to giving running back John White a much heavier workload in the second half of the season. The senior had a season-low 11 carries against the Bruins, netting 44 yards.

The Pac-12's leading returning rusher, who broke Utah's single-season school rushing record with 1,519 yards in 2011, has carried the ball only 38 times over three outings since missing the BYU game with an ankle injury. His only 100-yard game this season came in the opener against Northern Colorado (119).

White declined to elaborate when asked about his reduced touches. He had only one in the second half on Saturday.

"Whatever coach Brian Johnson wants to do, I'm going to go with," White said. "So I have nothing to say on it."
