Harold E. HohmannBoomer Sooner1927-2012Salt Lake City, UTHarold died October 6, 2012.He was born in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma on February 6, 1927 to Arthur Adolf Hartwig Hohmann and Emma Mathilde Boelte Hohmann. Harold graduated from Lone Wolf High School in 1945 and entered the U.S. Army. He served at Fort Benning, Georgia in the infantry school.After his military service he attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1950 with a degree in electrical engineering. During his time at OU he married Vivian Marie Hackett. She preceded him in death in 2000 after fifty-two years of marriage.Upon graduation from OU, Harold began a thirty-seven year career with the General Electric Company of which he was very proud. He retired in 1987 as manager of the Industrial Sales Division in Salt Lake City. Harold was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.Harold is survived by daughters Deborah Hohmann, Salt Lake City, and Cynthia Mousner, Bryan, Texas, and son Christopher (Erin) Hohmann, Salt Lake City. Grandchildren Katie Mousner, Zachary Mousner, and Milo Hohmann.Harold is also survived by his brother Darrell (Sherry) of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, and sister-in-law Sue, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald and sister Wanda.Memorial services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1955 East Stratford Avenue, Salt Lake City, on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 4:30pm.No flowers, please.
