James Larsen Trayner3/6/1928 ~ 10/13/2012James Larsen Trayner, 84, our beloved dad, Pa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle and friend passed away at his daughter's house surrounded by his loved ones after a long health struggle. His last days were spent surrounded by his loved ones at his daughter's home.James was born to Hebert Osmond Sr. and Ruby Larsen Trayner. He graduated from South High where he made many lifetime friendships. He married Lois Margaret Rostron in the Salt Lake Temple on October 10, 1950. They had four wonderful children. They were later divorced.He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a general contractor, building many beautiful homes in Holladay. His passions were cars, boating, gardening, his flowers and his parrot, Bruce.Survived by his children, Corrinne (Gary) Plott, Sue (Gary) Hughes, Stephen (Sandy) presiding over the Texas McAllen Mission, and Rick (Colleen); 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Herbert Jr. (Janet) and Dennis (Jackie); his special girlfriend, Mike Hill and her family; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved sister, Ruby Haslam.A viewing will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street. Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Utah Veteran's Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, UT.
