Obituary: FIFIELD, BETTY

Betty Mae Andersen Fifield1925 ~ 2012Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Betty passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 12, 2012. She was born October 12, 1925 in Vineyard, Utah to Thomas PJ Andersen and Nettie May Erickson. Betty grew up in Smithfield, Utah with her mother and brothers and sister. Graduated from North Cache High School. Married Everett W. Fifield June 23, 1944 in Logan, Utah. They had one son Clair. They moved to Salt Lake in 1956. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught Primary and Sunday School. Betty worked for Jane's Bakery in the Avenues for many years and loved baking cookies, breads, pies and rolls. She then went to work for Dayne's Music for a number of years.She is survived by her sister Ardis Alder, son Clair (Elizabeth) Fifield, grandchildren Emily (Clint) Burningham,Thomas, and Benjamin (Thao), and six great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers Thomas Andersen and Wendon Andersen.Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Wasatch Ward, 1750 S. 1500 E. where a viewing will be held from 10 10:45 AM. Interment will follow in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
