Obituary: WATSON, COLLIN

Collin J Watson1947-2012Collin J Watson left us on October 9, 2012.Collin was born to L. Dee and Joyce Watson on June 12, 1947, the fourth of five children. He grew up exploring the hills surrounding Cedar City, and returned each year to those hills to hunt with his family. Collin taught statistics in the College of Business at the University of Utah, and coauthored a well respected textbook on the subject. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren.Collin is survived by his four children, Lauren (Vernon) Mauery, James (Rachel) Watson, Stephen (Elizabeth) Watson, and Katherine Watson; his six grandchildren, Nicole Mauery, Nathan Mauery, Anne Mauery, Harvey Watson, Peter Watson, and Henry Watson; and his four siblings, Paul Watson, Jean Allred, Kent Watson, and Doug Watson.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, October 19, 2012, in the Big Cottonwood 10th Ward, 4930 S. Westmoor Rd. Salt Lake City, Utah.We hope that he will find peace in God's loving embrace.
