Russell James Gillett1957 ~ 2012Russell James Gillett passed, peacefully, in his sleep on Sunday, October 14, 2012. He was a social butterfly who loved meeting new people and visiting with family/friends. Russell was born on November 20, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He truly loved his mother Leatha L. Garfield and father Ronnie S. Gillett (deceased). Russ and his dad enjoyed hunting trips together. He attended Cyprus High School, Magna, UT; and served a LDS mission in Scotland, UK. Russ was constantly lending a hand to his sisters Kristine Villiard, Karen (Ron) Parsons, Alda Mills and brothers Zane (Jeanine) and David Gillett. Uncle Russy adored his three nieces and six nephews. Preceded in death were grandparents William Clisbee and Alda Lovell, James Mead and LaVona Gillett. Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home-8525 W. 2700 S. Magna, UT. Funeral services will be located at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-8000 W. 2875 S.
