Josephine Rebecca Almond Potts1916 ~ 2012Our dear, sweet Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away October 16, 2012 in West Valley City, Utah at the age of 95. She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1916 in Logan, Utah to Sarah Jenson and Joseph Almond. When she was two years old, her mother drowned. She and her younger brother, Douglas were raised by their paternal grandmother and an aunt. She grew up in Logan and attended schools there.Josephine met the love of her life, Fred Gordon Potts. They were married in the Logan Temple, July 22, 1938. They were fortunate enough to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary before Fred's passing in 1988.Josephine is survived by her three sons, Lynn (Janet), Steve, and Dan (Laura) Potts; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren were adored by her.She was preceded in death by her spouse and her brother Douglas Allmond.Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20th at 10:00 A.M. at the Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at the Smithfield Cemetery following the services.
