Larry Steven Dreitzler April 18, 1951 ~ Sept. 29, 2012Larry Steven Dreitzler passed away on September 29, 2012 following a long illness. Larry was born April 18, 1951 in Tooele, Utah, to John and Evelyn Herron Dreitzler. Larry married Debbie Kirk on November 20, 1971. During their 22-year marriage, they had two daughters, Camille and Allison who were the light of his life. They later divorced.Larry accomplished many things in his life. He was ambitious and had a strong work ethic. He was a talented salesman and gifted carpenter. He spent much of his career in the auto sales business and later he did construction renovation and remodeling. A legacy of his work can be found in many homes and businesses in Salt Lake and Tooele. Larry was very generous and would help anyone.Larry loved planning and enjoying family vacations, then re-telling his adventures. He was a natural "tour guide" and always made many stops along the way. He had a great sense of humor -- always making everyone around him laugh and smile. Larry is survived by his loving parents, John and Evelyn Dreitzler, siblings Ron and his wife Debbie Dreitzler, Jim Dreitzler, and Debbie Dreitzler-Nisson. He is also survived by his children Camille and Chris Martinez, and Allison and Guy Miller; four grandchildren, Paige and Peyton Martinez, and Sidney and Hudson Miller, and nieces and nephews Lindsey, Lauren, Leslie, Deidra, Brooks and Ayden. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 3rd from 6 8 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 So. Main, Tooele, Utah. Services will be held Thursday, October 4th at 11 a.m. at the Tooele 11th Ward, 180 So. Coleman, with a viewing one hour prior. Interment: Tooele City Cemetery.Larry was very courageous and he fought many health challenges and illnesses. The family gives special thanks to Thomas Bauman, M.D., as well as the many doctors, nurses, and care providers at Paramount and Woodland Park care centers who helped Larry along his journey.
