Arthur Thomas Foster1926 ~ 2012Arthur Foster, age 86, passed away on October 18, 2012 after a life well lived. He was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on May 10, 1926 to Thomas Arthur and Clara Thompson Foster, he married Lois Hatch on June 12, 1948. He served his country during World War II in the Pacific Theater, and was awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded on Okinawa.Art had a keen intellect. He graduated from the University of Wyoming and enjoyed a career as a pharmacist. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Art served in many capacities including bishop, ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple, and missionary with his wife in Roseville, California. He had endless energy he always had a project underway. His love of genealogy prompted him to create volumes of family history. He also enjoyed golf, traveling, wood working and spending time with family and friends.Survived by wife, Lois, daughters Susan (Ned) Callister, Leigh Ann (Jack) McCann, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and brother Robert (Mary Ann) Foster of New Mexico.Services will be held at the Granger Stake Center, 2850 W. 3835 So. WVC. Friends may call Sunday, October 21st 6-8 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m. 10:30 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment at Valley View memorial Park.
