Dr. LaMar Rosquist1928 ~ 2012St. George, UtahAn awesome husband, father, grandfather and doctor has left us. Born at home in Magna, Utah to Alice Florence & Andrew Whitmer Rosquist. He was a descendant of Swedish immigrants who came to Utah because of their LDS faith. LaMar graduated from Granite High School. He served in the Army in Japan at the end of World War II. When he returned, he attended the University of Utah and played for the basketball team. He moved to California where he attended and graduated from Los Angeles Chiropractic College. While there, he met and married Valnita Bartchi of Logan, Utah in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on December 20, 1951. He practiced in North Hollywood, California, then relocated his family to Salt Lake City where he continued his practice. He was known throughout the United States and various parts of the world for his development of the Spinal Touch technique. He served two stake missions, was a Sunday school teacher, served in the bishopric, was an excellent home teacher and a temple worker. He is survived by his wife, Valnita; sons: Bryon (Patti), Ron (Celeste) and Gary (Georgia); daughter, Karin; and 13 grandchildren who loved and adored him. At LaMar's request, a family only viewing will be held. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the Green Valley LDS 8th Branch Chapel, 511 South Valley View Drive, St. George, Utah. Interment will Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
