HENDERSON, Nev. — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and vice presidential running mate Paul Ryan are beginning a two-week push toward the Nov. 6 election with a Las Vegas-area campaign stop at the Henderson Pavilion.

Fresh off the presidential debate in Florida, Romney and Ryan will be making their first joint appearance in Nevada at a campaign rally a little after noon Tuesday at the amphitheater venue off Green Valley Parkway.

The visit comes amid strong early voting in Nevada, a campaign battleground state with six electoral votes at stake and Romney and President Barack Obama close in the polls.

Romney and Ryan are due to head after the event to the Denver area for an evening rally featuring performances by rocker-rapper Kid Rock and country music artist Rodney Atkins.
