Marilyn Rigby1932 ~ 2012Our sweet wife, mother and grandmother, Marilyn Hunt Rigby, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born on November 19, 1932 in Sterling, Idaho to Vernon Reeder Hunt and Vera Jones. She was raised in Corrinne, Utah. She married her loving husband, Jay D. Rigby on June 10, 1950. They were later sealed in in the Salt Lake Temple. Marilyn and Jay were blessed with seven children, Jay (Rhonda), Wendell (Liz), Dianne (Gary), Roger (Shauna), Sandra (Brian), Allison (David) and Scott (Wendie). They have 33 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren. During her early married life Marilyn accompanied Jay in his travels as he served in the armed forces. She had many interests and hobbies. She enjoyed bowling, painting porcelain ceramics, family history and indexing, sewing, gardening and taking care of her beloved pets. Marilyn was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served willingly in various callings throughout her life. She particularly enjoyed her assignment working with her husband in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Above all else, Marilyn valued family. Her greatest joy was raising her children. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Our family would like to thank all those who cared for and visited with Marilyn during the past year. Special thanks to the staff of the Utah Valley Specialty Hospital and the ICU Cardiac Unit at the Utah Valley Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Orchard 4th Ward Building- 670 East 800 North, Orem, Utah. A viewing will precede the service at 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. A viewing will be held Wednesday, October 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary- 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah.
