Doyle Eldon Wharton1932 ~ 2012Our beloved husband, father and grandfather Doyle Eldon Wharton passed away peacefully Oct. 23, 2012 at home after a 9 year courageous battle with cancer.He was born in Arkansas Nov. 11, 1932 to Verdie Estes and Clara Bogan Wharton. They moved to Idaho when he was 4 years old. He graduated from Malad High School in 1950 and joined the Air Force. He fell in love with Diane Dietrich and they married Feb. 4, 1956. She died June 25, 1983. After her death he met Ilene N. Stettler. They were married Aug. 10, 1984.Doyle worked for 45 years for White Cement Products. Doyle was a man who worked hard all his life and by his example he taught many how to be happy and live life to the fullest. He worked hard and could do anything he was asked to do with what he had, never running out to buy what was needed. His children and stepchildren were always asking for his advice cause he had ideas that made the job easier. He was a great man and we all loved him very much.He is survived by his wife Ilene, children: Dennis Wharton Alaska, Patrick Wharton, Paul (Kathy) Wharton, Maureen Juli (Glen) Wade, stepchildren: Susan (Brent) Andrews, Jane (Irwin) Hansen, Timothy (Krista) Stettler, Jeffery (Julie) Stettler, Michael (Maurine) Stettler, 30 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Brothers: Darrel (Claudine) Wharton, Dale (Trena) Wharton; sisters: Helen Moser, Ethelene Worton, Wanda King and Lucille Westerberg. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Diane, a daughter Deborah and three grandsons: Joshua Stettler, Jeremy Andrews and Trevor Wharton.The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Patricia Legant and her staff for all the kindness they showed Doyle, also Community Nursing Hospice for their care and kindness.Funeral services will be held Monday October 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W.
