Preston Bill Parcell1981 ~ 2012Preston Bill Parcell, 31, returned to his Heavenly Father on October 22, 2012. Preston lived a full and wonderful life. That twinkle in his eye, his infectious smile and his love for others brought joy to his family and many friends. Preston was born on March 6, 1981 in Heber City, Utah. He was raised in the Heber Valley and graduated from Wasatch High School in 1999. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved the time he spent in it with his family and acquaintances. He was ready to embark upon a new life and was looking forward to the future with his fiancé Nicole. Preston was deeply loved by his parents, brothers, sister-in-laws, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and fiancé. Preston was an active member of the LDS Church, having served a Mission to San Salvador Brazil in 2000. Preston loved the gospel and appreciated the comfort that he received by serving and understanding the teachings. Following his Mission, Preston served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 2003 to 2007. In the Air Force Preston developed his natural ability with computers as a Tech Controller. His service included a tour of duty in Kuwait during Operation Enduring Freedom. While in the Air Force, he received his Bachelor of Information Technology Network Administration Degree from American Intercontinental University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, Preston accepted a position at Via West as a Network Engineer then transferring to Salt Lake City, where he has worked since 2007. Preston had a passion for life and learning. From his childhood his inquisitive mind led to a fascination with computers which served him well throughout his life and his successful career with Via West. As an avid Skydiver and Base Jumper he thrived on adventure. He was at peace riding his motorcycle. Preston was kind and thoughtful, caring deeply about others. His tender relationship with his Grandma Mary and his Grandpa and Grandma McDonald remained strong to the end.Preston is survived by his parents, Brent Parcell and Elizabeth (Gilbert) Palmier; Brothers Jacob (Lindsey) Parcell, Shane (Chelsea) Parcell, all of Heber City; step brother Drew Palmier and step sister Kirsten Palmier, both of Canada; grandparents Mary Parcell, Guy and Barbara McDonald, all of Heber City; fiancé Nicole Perez, Texas; aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by his grandfather, Glade Parcell and a very special uncle, Joe McPhie.Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 1:00 p.m. in the Heber LDS Stake Center, 150 North 200 West, Heber City, Utah. Family and friends are invited to visitations on Wednesday from 6:00 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:30 12:30 prior to the services both at the LDS Church.
