Marvin and Mo Williams scored 21 points each and Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap each recorded double-doubles as the Utah Jazz defeated the Dallas Mavericks in the Jazz regular-season opener, 113-94.
The Jazz trailed 63-55 at halftime, but they outscored the Mavericks 37-13 in the third quarter to blow the game open.
After Mavericks point guard Darren Collison led all scorers in the first half with 13 points, the Jazz only allowed him to score four more in the second half.
Utah had a strong night at the foul line, making 31-of-42 attempts, compared to Dallas' 19-of-26. The Jazz also came on strong in the second half from long range, making 6-out-of-14 3s. Marvin Williams, Mo Williams and Randy Foye each made two 3-pointers.
Utah had six players in double figures, and only guard Alec Burks failed to register a point. Collison led Dallas with 17 points.
