Phyllis Davis Cook16 Feb 1919 ~ 2 Oct 2012Phyllis Davis Cook, age 93 passed away Tuesday October 2, in Provo, Utah. Phyllis was born 16 February 1919 in Bingham Canyon, Salt Lake, Utah. She was the third of seven children born to David Daniel and Annie Pearl Loader Davis. She was raised in Lehi and graduated from West High School in Salt Lake. She married Sheldon Barnes Cook 17 Nov 1939. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple 13 March 1946. Phyllis and Sheldon lived in Mercur, Lehi, Cedar Fort, American Fork and Orem. The last few years she has been living with her son Loran and his wife Doris in Orem, Utah.Phyllis will always be remembered for her service to her family and in the church and community. She was the "Cinnamon Roll Queen" because of her cinnamon rolls that everyone loved to eat and fought over. She was a hard worker and was known for her spotlessly clean home, her immaculate yard and the never ending support of her children and grandchildren. She spent several years working as a cook, and later as a dietician for the Frostop in American Fork and several nursing care facilities throughout Utah. Phyllis is survived by her six children: Ronald (Bonnie), American Fork; Loran (Doris), Orem; Patricia (Karyl), Albuquerque, NM; Kathleen (Gary) McFadden, Idaho Falls, ID; Sherwood (Lynette), Las Vegas, NV; Gary (Ellen), Denver, CO; and two brothers: Keith, Roy, UT and George (Jeannie), Phoenix, AZ. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Canyon View 9th Ward, 1090 North 400 East, Orem, Utah.Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home at 646 East 800 North in Orem and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the services.
