Ruth Virginia Smith"Beloved Mother"Ruth passed away on November 4, 2012. She was born on a farm west of Billings Montana to Henry and Sussana (Grotwohl) Neibauer. She married Sidney M. Smith in 1951 and they were married 61 years. He always said: "I found a million dollar baby in the five and ten cent store". They raised four children together. Family was the most important thing in Ruth's life. She was her family's greatest cheerleader. We love you Ruthie! You will be greatly missed! Ruth was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church. She was involved in many church activities: scouting, bowling league and a vital link in the prayer chain. She worked for the Salt Lake County Treasurer's office and later was a volunteer for Salt Lake County Aging Services; earning the most valuable volunteer award. She was also involved in Toastmasters for 40 years and a supporter of Senior Olympics for 26 years. Ruth is survived by her loving husband Sid; daughters Debbie and Melinda (Jeff); sons Steve and Mark (Lori). Grandchildren Hobie, Tyson, and Chad Smith; and Rhyder, Gunner, Flynn and Teale Robison. Also survived by sisters Alice Weems and Rose Joseph. She will be dearly missed by numerous friends, relatives and her devoted dog Curley.Memorial Services will be held on Saturday November 17, 2012 at 11 am in the First Congregational Church (2150 Foothill Drive SLC, Utah).
